☆Avon primers / concealers / foundations - REVIEWS + PHOTOS of 13 products!!!☆

I've collected a number of Avon foundations over time, plus a couple of concealers and primers. I was going to review the concealers and primers separately, but I think they fit in pretty well with this blog entry. There's a good reason that my Avon foundation collection is growing, so I'd like to share their pros and cons. I want to be quite detailed, so beware that this entry may be a bit of an essay...
I'll also share a few words at the end about the Colour Trend Oil Control Pressed Powder, but for more detailed notes you can read my earlier blog entry by clicking here.
Images: The images show my skin with and without each product so that you can compare the results, with the exception of the facial primers and the Oil Control Pressed Powder.

Logically, I'll begin with the primers. The face primers are both basically the same, only one has the added bonus of giving an illuminating effect. Neither of them actually claim to be primers in the product descriptions online or in the brochures, but they are used in the same way and have the same results. Avon also produce an eye shadow primer which it seems is no longer available from the Avon website, but I'll review it anyway as I'm sure you'll be able to buy it elsewhere online. Maybe it's time they came up with a lip primer, too...

Avon MagiX Face Perfector: This little miracle's results are so good that they rival those of the No7 Airbrush Away Primer, which you can read about in my earlier review by clicking here. It minimises pores and fine lines, and effortlessly evens the complexion. It's "gel-powder" formula leaves the skin totally matte, and feeling irresistibly smooth and powder-soft. It also has that oh-so-important added SPF20 - a must-have, not only in the summer months, but all year round (read more information on Ultraviolet Radiation by clicking here). It also preps the skin for make up application by giving you a smooth, even "canvas" on which to apply your foundation, plus it makes your make up last longer! Avon say it gives a "flawless, matte finish for up to 10 hours" - that's some damn good staying-power. I'm very impressed! I only have a trial-size product at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be purchasing the full-sized one very soon.
Click here to purchase MagiX Face Perfector from the Avon website.

Avon MagiX Illuminating Face Perfector: This products results are very similar to the regular Face Perfector. It leaves this skin feeling feather-soft, the complexion appears more even, pores and fine lines appear reduced, and it preps the skin and holds on to your make up for longer. It contains SPF15 - I'm not sure why it's not as high as the regular product. This one has the added bonus of illuminating your skin - I just love that attractive, healthy-looking glow! I'm running low on this stuff, and I'd love to buy more, but for some reason Avon have discontinued it - I'm sure you'll still be able to track it down somewhere on the web!

Avon Eye Shadow Primer: Until Avon released this product, they'd only sold a "lifting" eye shadow primer for mature skin, which was only available as part of the Anew Beauty Youth-Awakening Eyeshadow And Primer Kit - luckily, I don't have any signs of aging and so this product was no use to me, therefore I was pleased when this primer went on sale which is suitable for all skin types and ages! :)
It's purpose is to create a "smooth canvas" on the to make eye shadow more even and to prevent colour from creasing and fading. There's only one shade, "Light Beige", which worried me as it looked almost yellow in the brochure! Thankfully, in reality, it's more of a pink-ish nude which blends easily with my skin tone - as you can see from the image, it could also be used alone to even the eyelid skin tone, or could even make a great concealer! It comes in a simple little glass pot, but a little goes a long way so you get plenty of bang for your buck (annoyingly, I can't find the actual measurement in ml anywhere). It could be applied with an eye shadow brush, but it blends much easier with fingers. The smooth, creamy consistency dries quickly to an oil-absorbing powder-soft texture, creating an ideal base for applying colour.
Image - right: With these photos I'm aiming to show you the format that the primer comes in, and the completely matte nude base it creates when dry. As you can see, it could also be used alone to even the eyelid skin tone, or could even make a great concealer!

Let's more on to concealers. I own three from Avon, one of which I own in the wrong shade (Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick), but I'll be reviewing it anyway.

Avon Ideal Flawless Concealer Stick: This popular concealer is available in 3 shades, and, as previously mentioned, I have the wrong one - I needed "Light", but it was sent me in "Medium"! For this reason, I've included photos of the packaging and a swatch on my hand (see image - right), but I'm not showing it on my face as frankly it looks bloody ridiculous. I'm reviewing it anyway, by my comments will be about wear, consistency, ease of use, etc etc... everything but the shade itself, basically!
First of all, it's presented as a "twist-up stick", like a lipstick tube, which is easy to apply and blend with the fingers or a concealer brush. Everything from the Ideal Flawless range is designed to give a flawless complexion. This concealer's thick oil-free consistency gives long-lasting full coverage which masks imperfections without feeling heavy or looking shiny. I find that the stick drags the under-eye area which feels unpleasant and can damage the delicate skin, so I advise you to apply it to your fingers and rub them together before application to warm and "loosen" the product. To match this product's coverage ideally a foundation with a similar coverage should be used to give an even result - try Avon Ideal Flawless Cream-To-Powder Foundation or Avon Mattifying Foundation (see below, in my reviews of foundations).

Avon MagiX Eye Radiance Wand: I have this clever product in "fair", which blends effortlessly with my porcelain skin tone - It's only available in two shades. It doesn't actually claim to be a concealer, but that's the effect it has. It gives a natural-looking result - usually I'd opt for a concealer with a fuller coverage, but this one's light texture is great in the summer months. It also leaves the under eye area feeling cashmere-soft, and the brightening effect makes your eyes look more youthful "awake".A little goes a long way, so although you may think £8.00 is a little expensive for a concealer, it should last you ages. It's wear is pretty good, too, it holds onto your skin for hours and doesn't set into the creases of your lids. I find it also corrects redness, so although it states to be an eye make up product, I use it anywhere I want to eliminate redness - many people find they get redness around the nose. I find it is best applied over foundation, as it sets to a powdery texture which rubs off quite easily.

Colour Trend Perfect and Hide Concealer: This concealer stick is available in two shades, I have it in "light". This one has very full coverage which hides imperfections well, but you may find you need a lighter concealer in the summer months. It's a creamy concealer stick in a handy "lipstick bullet" format. It has pretty good wear, especially considering the price, but I sometimes find I need to touch it up a little under my eyes. Also, as it's coverage is so full, a little goes a long way, so you get plenty of bang for your buck! It has a slightly shiny-looking finish, so you will need to use powder over it to make it matte. It's creamy consistency can set into fine lines and wrinkles, so for more mature skin, try Avon Anew Beauty Age-Transforming Concealer instead.

Time to discuss one of my all time favorite beauty inventions - foundation! I can tell you now that there aren't many disadvantages to the five Avon foundations that I own, if truth be told. As long as you pick the right one for your skin, you'll be laughing!

Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Cream-to-Powder Foundation: Aside from this product having another of Avon's unnecessarily long product names, this is great stuff! I use "Ivory", which is the lightest of 12 shades. First of all, I love the packaging. It's Avon's usual sleek and stylish look, but it's also practical, as the compact also contains a usable mirror (i.e. it's not a cheap plastic one that makes you look distorted) and an application sponge. Most application tools including with make up are rubbish, but the foundation sponge included with this product is perfect for flawless application. It's also stored in a second compartment which is separate from the foundation and mirror, so it doesn't make a mess of the compact (see photo - above right). The creamy formula glides onto the skin perfectly and dries to a soft powder which lasts for hours - it takes a little longer to dry than I expected, but this may vary depending on your skin type (mine is combination). It gives a fantastic full coverage that I love, effortlessly concealing imperfections and evening the skin tone, without feeling heavy or looking "fake". Nice one, Avon!

Avon Ideal Flawless Matte Mousse Foundation: I have this amazing product in "Ivory", which is the lightest of 7 shades. I was hesitant about using this for the first time as I've had reactions to some other brands' mousse foundations, but I've had no issues with this one. This makes a great "everyday" foundation, but I also use it a lot on myself and others in my photo shoots, as it's 100% matte finish covers imperfections perfectly and doesn't reflect any unwanted light (see http://facebook.com/ttbphoto.page or www.tuesdaytbryan.com/). It also has outstanding wear, so I don't need to do any touch-ups. It leaves the skin feeling velvety-smooth and it's excellent for evening the complexion. Avon say it has light-medium coverage, but it's very build-able, so you can get fuller coverage if you so desire. It's lightweight texture is suitable for use all year round, however if you have dry skin you may not find it's not for you, so try one with moisturising qualities such as Solutions Gentle BB Beauty Balm, which I'll share further on in this review. No application tools are required, you can just slap it straight on and blend it with your fingers. If I had to make one complaint it would be that the 18ml pot isn't enough for me, as I sometimes use a fair amount. If I absolutely had to choose a favorite, this foundation would probably be the one!

Avon MagiX Cashmere Advanced Foundation: I have this in "Ivory", the lightest of 6 shades. As the name suggests, it gives the skin a cashmere-soft texture (as does everything I've used from the MagiX range). It has amazing 100% matte coverage, without feeling heavy or making the skin look unnatural. Imperfections and pores instantly appear reduced, and the complexion looks more even. Skin appears more healthy and radiant. It has great wear, too, which holds onto your skin all day, even in the summer heat. It contains that all-important SPF15, but remember not to rely on the SPF in your make up alone for sun protection. For some reason, it stings my eyes when I sweep it across my lids (and it smells of shampoo...weird coincidence), other than that I've had no adverse reactions. Again, personally I'd avoid this product for use on dry skin as it has a powdery finish - try Solutions Gentle BB Beauty Balm instead for a moisturising and caring alternative.

Avon Mattifying Foundation: I have this product in "Ivory", which is the lightest of 7 shades. Avon have recently discontinued this product which I'm really annoyed about, but it's so good that I had to share it with you anyway, plus I'm sure you'll still be able to find it somewhere on the internet. If you have combination or oily skin, this stuff is a miracle. Mine is combination (though luckily I never suffer from outbreaks), and this product makes this skin completely matte, and keeps it matte all day! It has very full coverage which flawlessly hides imperfections, however it's consistency is slightly too heavy for the summer heat - to achieve lighter coverage from the same foundation, try mixing it with a little sun cream or moisturiser. The perfectly matte finish makes this another great product for use on myself and my clients during my photo shoots, as it doesn't reflect any unwanted light (see http://facebook.com/ttbphoto.page or www.tuesdaytbryan.com/). I really am disappointed that Avon discontinued this stuff - I'll panic when I run out!

Avon Solutions BB Gentle Beauty Balm: I have this product in "light", which is one of just two available shades. Some people will argue that this isn't a foundation, but frankly I couldn't give a toss - I use it just as I use foundation, so in this blog entry it shall go! This new addition to the Avon family is a great all-round product. As we all know, a BB cream or tinted moisuriser is a great summer product, as other foundations can be too heavy in the heat. Plus it has SPF15, which is a summer essential, but remember not to rely only on the SPF in your make up for protection from the sun's harmful rays! As I said, I have this product in "light" - when I first used it I was worried that it was too dark for my porcelain skin tone (see "swatch" photo - bottom right), but thankfully it blends really well. The 30ml tube looks quite small, but you only need a touch as a little goes a very long way! The "long-wearing pigments" cling to your skin all day, so there's no need for touch-ups. As I've previously mentioned, this one is great for all skin types,

even it it's dry and sensitive. It contains "butterdock
and the Chinese jujube fruit, full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals." It also hydrates the skin and blurs imperfections.

Avon ExtraLasting Liquid Foundation: This foundation is available in 6 shades, and I have it in the lightest, "Ivory". It comes in a stylish glass bottle with a "pump" mechanism to dispense the product. The foundation itself has a delicate, moisture-rich liquid consistency that gives natural-looking, light-medium coverage. It's lightweight enough for use all year round, even in the summer heat, and it contains that all-important SPF12. It's suitable for all skin types, but it's moisturising formula is particularly useful if you have dry skin. Avon say it hydrates the skin with "67% increased moisture after application". It gives a semi-matte finish, so I use powder to set my foundation and illuminate shine. This foundation is from the ExtraLasting range, so let's talk about it's wear. Avon say their "exclusive ColourLock Complex locks in colour", resulting in "multi-tasking make-up that keeps up with you" - Great for us ladies with busy lifestyles who don't want to worry about touch-ups and colour fading! Avon say it's "water, sweat and pollutant resistant", and gives up to 18 hour wear - impressive! I also have a lipstick and an eyeshadow from the ExtraLasting range which both have great staying power, too.

Avon Colour Trend Oil Control Pressed Powder: I have this product in "translucent", and I'm disappointed to say that it's now only available in "medium", which is far too dark for my fair skin! Anyway, as I said in the "intro" to this blog entry, I'm only going to discuss this stuff briefly, as I have mentioned it in more detail in a previous review, which you can read by clicking here. I always use a powder over my foundation to set my make up and keep any shine at bay - a must if you have combination skin, like me! Basically I use this one because it does the job well, has great staying power, and it's dirt cheap. Bring back the "translucent" shade, Avon!

Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer; shades 265 / 341 / 186; review + photos

"Fashion Fix for your Fingertips." - Maybelline New York

After hearing all the hype for aaages about the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes, I've finally decided to buy some. I bought three shades from Boots - there's currently a "3 for 2" deal on selected Maybelline products. ;)
I'm not exactly sure how many shades there are in the Color Show range... It says on the Maybelline "Colorwheel" that there are 40 available, however I can't find two of my shades on there (265 and 341)... Still, there are plenty to choose from, so there's something for every girl out there!
I opted for a sassy red-ish shade called "265 Wine Shimmer", and two summer-brights called "341 Orange Attack" and "186 Fuchsia Fever".

Images: The photos to the right show each shade after 1, 2, and 3 coats. Click the image to enlarge.

265 Wine Shimmer: This was the colour I was instantly drawn to. Classic with a twist, it's right up my street. ;) It's a timeless "red wine" shade, packed with glitzy iridescent sparkles - very glamorous! I want to see this shade on every lady's fingers and toes this Autumn/Winter. It has a thin consistency which gives a translucent finish, so you'll need at least 3 coats for a totally opaque look. However, just one coat gives your nails a subtle yet very pretty colour, which could be worn all year round!
Scroll down to the end of my review to see my nails painted in "Wine Shimmer", with a little nail glitter for extra glitzy glamour!

341 Orange Attack: An orange polish is a great way to get your nails summer-ready. I think this particular shade is bang-on for the summer - it went straight on my toes for a sunshine-perfect pedicure! It's a bright, block-colour orange i.e. it's just one colour, non-metallic, free from sparkles, etc etc. The coverage is fabulous. It's so good, in fact, that you could get away with wearing just one coat! (But I'm a bit OCD, so I have to wear at least two...) It also has a wicked, sunshine-reflecting, high-shine finish.
If you want a similar shades that's a little more glittery, then click here to check out the photos in one of my previous reviews - it contains my thoughts on Avon's "Apple of his Eye"; a sparkly summer shade of orange. :)
Scroll down to near the end of this review to see my nails painted in "Orange Attack".

186 Fuchsia Fever: This one is from the "Neons" collections of Color Show polishes - a range of shades that are perfect for a striking summer manicure. I was tied on which one to get, so my partner chose this vibrant purple for me as it's his favorite colour. :)
The first thing I noticed was how amazingly quickly it dried! It took well under a minute, for sure. ;) When it dries it has a matte finish, which I personally dislike. I've never found matte nails very feminine. But don't despair, a glossy top coat cures this in a flash! I was also hacked off with how many coats you need to achieve an opaque finish. The this consistency requires 3 to 4 coats to give an opaque result, and, unlike the two shades mentioned above, you can't pull it off with just one coat. You'll have to set some time aside if you want a magnificent manicure with this stuff!

As for the wear, I got about 5 days out of this stuff before noticing any chips, peeling or fading etc etc. Bare in mind that any polish's staying-power will be effected by the condition of your nails - mine used to break and peel horrendously when I had thin tips! Click here to check out the Avon Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat to strengthen your nails and prolong your colour - honestly, that stuff is my manicure miracle!

I'm definitely up for purchasing some more of the Color Show shades. With all the colours available I'm spoiled for choice!

☆Avon Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat - Review + photos of my manicure miracle product!!!☆

Source:
http://avonshop.co.uk/
I've been saying for a while now that I'll publish a review of Avon Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat (a great product, but why did they have to give it such a long name?). When looking through my blog's private statistics I can see that a lot of people are searching for an honest review of this popular nail polish, so here it is!
From my experience of this product, I actually think Avon are understating this stuff's power. It has absolutely worked wonders on my nails. I can't stress how thankful I am from it!

Avon say...
"Treat your nails to an at-home manicure without the beauty parlour price! Sheer pink-toned gel makes nails 92.5% stronger and gives them a shiny finish." http://avonshop.co.uk/

Let's jump back to 4 months ago... me and my partner spend a week in the freezing cold extra-long winter of 2012/13 "fixing" my car's body work and some stuff under the bonnet (you'll be surprised what you can achieve with WD40, Duct Tape, and industrial-strength super glue).

My nails were already in poor condition, and all the chemicals, hands-on work, cold weather, and extra hand washing made my nails deteriorate dramatically. Click the photo to the right to see how poor my nail condition was for yourself! It was impossible for my nails to grow - they were so weak that whenever the slightest length was achieved they would break almost instantly. Thin, brittle, dry and peeling, something had to be done!

Previously I would have donned the OPI Original Nail Envy or No7 So Strong, but I fancied something new, so I bought a bottle of Gel Strength Base Coat from Avon. Dramatic as it may sound, it turned out to be one of the best beauty-related decisions I've ever made.

When I first used this product I would apply 2 coats, then I would remove and re-apply it when I noticed signs of wear. While my nails were in such bad condition I wore Gel Strength alone, I didn't want to draw any unwanted attention to my nails while they looked so unhealthy! The photo to the right shows my nails after the first application of Gel Strength - just by giving them a good was and a glossy shine, they already look healthier! As my nail condition began to quickly improve, I would wear 1 coat rather than 2, and wear a nice shade of polish on top. :)
Personal tip: I always wash and dry my hands thoroughly after using nail polish remover - those chemicals can't be good for your nails, and polish won't apply or dry well on wet/damp nails!

Here are the great results I noticed...
1. Overall nail condition improved dramatically in a short time frame. Check out the photo to the right to see how my had improved after just 6 weeks - immaculate!
2. Nails have grown more rapidly and improved strength has prevented breaking.
3. The nail surface appears smoother - this product could benefit those with uneven nail surface problems.
4. Wear it alone for instantly improved nail condition and an attractive glossy shine.
5. Prolongs the wear of any nail polish applied on top; Before I started using Gel Strength, any polish I wore would chip and peel within days of application, particularly around the tips and cuticles. Sometimes I wouldn't even get a days' wear out of it! But when I'm wearing this product under my polish the wear is improved dramatically. Colour seems to form a stronger bond to the Gel Strength than it does to the bare nail surface or other to base coats I've used. It makes your polish ultra-hard-wearing! This strong "bond" also makes it an excellent glue for nail decors and gemstones.

Image - right: In this photo I have been wearing this polish for 6 days, yet there are barely any signs of wear. The polish shown is Avon Nailwear Pro+ in "Blue Water Lilies".

I literally have no complaints about this stuff whatsoever. I have worn this it daily since I first applied it. I use it on my toes to prolong my pedicure now, too! The results I got from this product rival that of OPI Original Nail Envy and No7 So Strong, yet it's only a fraction of the price, so it's definitely worth a whirl! Not only are my nails in fantastic condition, but due to this stuff's ability to make any colour extra-hard-wearing, I no longer have to worry about manicure touch ups! I couldn't be without it. Thank you, Avon, for saving my nails!

Barry M Lash Modelling Extra Black Mascara - review + photos

© Tuesday T. Bryan Photography
DO NOT USE IMAGES WITHOUT PERMISSION. Copyrighted material

I haven't yet reviewed any Barry M products, so I thought it was high time I shared my thoughts on the fabulous Lash Modelling Extra Black Mascara!!!

First off, it has comes in attractive "almost-monochrome" packaging with a pretty vintage-inspired scallop-style pattern around the bottom. Very chic. ;)

© Tuesday T. Bryan Photography
DO NOT USE IMAGES WITHOUT PERMISSION. Copyrighted material
...I've just noticed it looks entirely monochrome as I've made the photo black & white - my bad. The word "Lash" is written in purple in reality. Comprendeo? Wicked. Let's move on...

Barry M say this mascara "defines and separates the lashes", and I agree! The plastic "comb" applicator has short bristles at the tip and longer ones at the base to coat each lash with the perfect amount of product, giving an even, clump-free result. Barry M do not say that this product will lengthen your lashes, but it defiantly added length to mine. One coat gives a good result, but two coats looks great! I like to wear two coats for extra volume and double the drama (see photo). I correct any mess with a cotton bud and my Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover (click to view on the Simple website).

The only complaint I have is this: Over the course of my looong days, the volume that the mascara gives when first applied seems to deplete a little. If you try to apply more product onto your lashes it seems to flake quite easily. I believe this flaking is largely due to the plastic brush - their lash-separating quality and clump-free result is fantastic, but mascara seems to flake more easily when layered with these now commonly-used rubber applicators. Anyway, I still love this product!

This mascara is not waterproof - avoid beaches, rain, and tears.

I'm one of the countless fans of Barry M's quirky, colourful, exciting products and tiny price tags! You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck, and this product is no exception.

When I went to Boots the other day I saw this offer on and I couldn't resist it; buy 2 No7 products and get a free Beauty Bag, worth £30. I've always loved No7 with a passion, and this deal was a dream!!! So, I bought myself (or rather, my partner bought me) 2 Stay Perfect Nail Colours and claimed my free goodies.

Rather than just reviewing the nail polishes I want to share my thoughts on the Beauty Bag - a nice cosmetics bag filled with 5 trial-size summer products (eyeshadow, lip gloss, mascara, tinted moisturiser, primer). They're all available to buy as full-size products, too.

I'm mad about No7, so I can feel good results coming on...

Let's start off with my 2 chosen shades of Stay Perfect Nail Colour. It was love at first sight when I laid eyes on a new shade called "Paradise Love". I was torn between 3 polishes for me second choice, but I finally decided on "Jammy" as I thought my polish collection could do with a new hot pink for the summer. :)

Paradise Love is a soft yet captivating shimmery sky blue shade, packed full of blue glitter and silver sparkles. I fell in love with how pleasantly unique the colour is, it's like no shade I've seen before. It's fun and imaginative, yet still perfectly sophisticated - a great polish for any occasion! The bottle says it has an "ultra-gloss" finish, but really it's pearlescent when dry. The photos show the polish with and without my Rimmel Ultra Shine Top Coat.

Jammy is a bright, nearly-neon, metallic hot pink. It's fun, flirty and girly, and has a high-shine glossy finish. It's bang on for an eye-catching summer manicure or pedicure, perfect for those long days on the beach lounging in the sunshine - as you can see by the photo, I opted for the sexy shade on my toes. A must-have shade for the summer!!!

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour is quick-drying and has great staying-power. I'd recommend their hard-wearing formula to everyone, especially ladies with a tight schedule who can't be doing with constant polish touch-ups. I always use Avon Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat to further prolong the colour.

Let's move on the the Beauty Bag. I always get excited about the No7 deals, they're defiantly worth taking advantage of!!! I will write my notes about each product and give you links and prices of the full-size products individually.

If you get these products in the deal, they'll come in a handy cosmetics bag. It's mainly transparent which is practical for seeing what's where, it's plastic which is easy to wipe clean, and it's colourful so it looks fab. :)

No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Pale Pink - I have a fair amount of this eyeshadow now, it's great stuff! The shade included in the Beauty Bag is called Pale Pink (I have to point out how annoying it was having to look up the shade online - it wasn't written on the product, or in store, or on the Beauty Bag contents list - God knows why). It's a pale opalescent "shell" pink, although it looks like a lilac shade in the compact. It's very delicate and feminine, great for subtlety shimmery summer eyes.
I do like the shade a lot, all though it's not one I'd

usually go for and I don't think I'll really wear it as I always wear neutral earthy tones. It has a cashmere-soft velvety texture, and great-staying power with no signs of creasing.

No7 High Shine Lip Gloss in Coral Kiss - It's amazing how many people forget to care for their skin in the sun, let alone their lips!!! This gorgeous gloss contains SPF15 and has a moisture-rich consistency, so "collagen boosting" for a "voluptuous smoothing shine", and contains "vitamins that protect and care".
you'll be protected from the rays and dry lips. I love this highly-pigmented nude/pink shade with just a touch of shimmer, a winner for subtle summer lips. It's moisturising formula and high-shine finish leaves your lips looking fabulous and kissably soft!!! No7 say it's

No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara in Black - All ladies know that a waterproof mascara is a
summer must-have. If you haven't got one in your make up bag yet then look no further! I've always been a massive fan of the No7 mascaras, and I actually already own the Extreme Length Mascara, but it's the full-size non-waterproof version. This product has fabulous all-day wear, come rain or shine. The plastic brush with multi-length bristles perfectly coats each lash, lengthening and separating them fabulously. One coat does a great job, but it layers up without clumping or flaking. The photos show my lashes after one coat and after two. As you can see, two coats gives a super-glamorous result with fantastic volume and drama - my preferred look. ;)

No7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara is available for £12.50 from Boots stores or online at http://www.boots.com/.

No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser in Fair/Medium - This is another summer must-have!!! Heavy make up looks dreadful in the heat, so swap it for a tinted moisturiser, a super-light foundation, or a BB Cream. Sun exposure can be very damaging to the skin, and also speeds up the aging process. Absolutely make sure your chosen summer foundation product contains an SPF, but don't rely on the sunscreen in your make up alone to keep your face protected from the rays. This No7 Tinted Moisturiser contains SPF15 and has 5-Star UVA protection. It's suitable for all skin types, too. I thought the fair/medium shade would be too dark for my freckled porcelain skin tone, but it blends and adapts effortlessly. It gave my skin a glorious natural dewy glow, and toned-down imperfections. No7 say: "Light diffusing tinted moisturiser delivers all day hydration and protection".

No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser is available for £11.50 from Boots stores or online at http://www.boots.com/.

No7 Airbrush Away Primer - We all must have heard the hype about primers by now. I already owned a couple before getting this one, but I knew this one would give the best results (although my Avon MagiX Face Perfector comes in at a close second). Without a doubt, using a primer will give you make up a better base to be applied to. When using this one I noticed that my pores appears minimised, imperfections such as uneven skin tone seemed to fade, and it gave my face a matte finish, which gives a great "blank canvas" for your foundation. No7 say: "Magic away signs of aging with this clever primer, containing light diffusing particles, to make you look younger instantly, by putting fine lines and wrinkles into soft focus."

No7 Airbrush Away Primer is available for £19.50 from Boots stores or online at http://www.boots.com/.

Below: Here's a photo of me wearing the 5 Beauty Bag products mentioned above - nothing more, nothing less!!! I've cropped it to only partially show my face as I didn't apply make up to both eyes.

Image - below: The shade I've chosen for my toes here is No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in "Paradise Love". It's always a good idea to stay barefoot or wear open-toed sandals for as long as possible (ideally an hour minimum) after your toe nails have been painted. My cute owl sandals are from Mel Shoes (http://www.melshoes.com).
