I’d like to introduce you to some delightful
skincare from the heart of Somerset. Launched in 2012, family-run business Milla Maddern produces natural skincare
from Rooksbridge. Every product on offer has been handmade with love and care,
infused with the finest ingredients nature has to offer, and tested to
perfection in certified UK laboratories (never on animals).
The Milla Maddern range is made up of four sensational collections; Harmony, Tranquillity, Vitality, and Sensuality - allow me to explain. Each collection is infused with a different blend of ingredients giving them each unique aromas designed to have a particular effect on your emotions. If you like all your fragranced products to match you can purchase all your Milla Maddern products from the same collection, or you could mix and match products from various collections to tailor your cleansing routine to your mood. All of the products benefit the skin, smell divine, and really do lift the spirits.
Milla
Maddern Handmade Soaps contain goats’ milk – it’s packed full of protein,
contains lactic acid which helps to remove dead skin cells, Vitamin A to
restore damaged skin tissues, and is excellent for boosting the skin’s moisture
levels. Milla Maddern sources their goats’ milk from a local farm (and all of
their ingredients are sourced from within the UK). Other key ingredients in
Milla Maddern’s soaps are Shea Butter, Manuka Honey (a real wonder-product in
so many ways), and Jojoba Oil, which work in harmony to cleanse and care for
the skin. Packaged to perfection in soft fabric and protective waxy paper,
these pretty soaps would make perfect gifts. I tried the Handmade Soap from the
Sensuality Collection. This
collection’s unique spicy combination contains Jasmine, Rosewood, and Vetiver
to warm and soothe the senses.
Products from the Harmony Collection are infused with a calming blend of Sandalwood, Frankincense and Neroli to help you relax and unwind. The aroma is very balancing and pure – it’s no wonder why Milla Maddern suggest using Harmony products when you’re feeling stressed! My Harmony product is the Milla Maddern Body Cream. I just
love
it’s rich, creamy texture. It’s so thick and luxurious, yet it absorbs so
quickly! It contains caring Vitamin E and healing Manuka Honey. After use, my
skin feels moisturised and smells fantastic for hours.
Our hands undergo a lot of hard work on a daily basis, yet it’s so easy to neglect them. It’s very important to care for them properly to keep them squeaky-clean and in tip-top condition. Liquid soaps are great for keeping the hands thoroughly cleansed. Milla Maddern Liquid Hand Wash contains antibacterial Manuka Honey and moisturising Aloe Vera. A little goes a long way – just a touch from the handy pump bottle is enough to work up a thick bubbly lather. It’s not uncommon to suffer from dry skin, especially on our hard-working hands. It’s ideal to moisturise the hands regularly throughout the day to keep them hydrated (especially if you wash them very often, as they tend to suffer from dryness more severely if they’re repeatedly dunked in water). Hand Cream has a rich formula containing Borage Oil and the
all-important Manuka Honey which work together to fight dry skin and give your
hands the hydration they need. Both my Milla Maddern Liquid Hand Wash and Hand
Cream are from the Vitality Collection.
Personally, I adore zesty, invigorating scents, so the Vitality products are
perfect for me! They contain Juniper, Bergamot, and Jasmine. This refreshing
and vibrant combination is perfect to energise and uplift the senses.
The final collection is suitably named Tranquillity, perfect for calming the senses when you need to unwind. Milla Maddern suggests using this soothing range when feeling stressed or anxious.
