Today I'm reviewing a product that has been on the market for a while, but it's still one of my all time favorite lip colours. I haven't found a product that quite matches it's brilliant qualities, and the shade I'm using is hard to beat, too! I'm talking about the epic Super Stay 10H Tint Gloss from Maybelline New York. The product name has now been updated to SuperStay 10 HR Stain Gloss. The shade I'm reviewing is "Forever Coral" - a classic bright red.

Image - about-right: As you can see from the photo, my Maybelline Tint Gloss has seen a lot of life! The packaging may look a little worse for ware, but the product is just as good as the day I bought it.

It's a moisture rich lip gloss with the staying power of a tint. It has all the pros of both a gloss and a tint, without all the negatives, e.g. it doesn't fade like a gloss does, and it doesn't dry out your lips like some tints do. Put simply, this stuff gives you the best of both worlds and them some!

Image - right: This product is build-able. One coat gives a vibrant "flush" of colour.

As the name suggests, it gives long-lasting colour. The vibrant shade doesn't fade and it hydrates all day, so there's no need to continuously re-apply. It's a great go-to product for situations when you need your lip make up to last - I love to wear it when I'm going out to eat! The colour stays true without feathering, transferring, or losing it's sexy, glossy shine. It really lives up to it's name!

Image - right: This product is build-able. I like to wear two coats for a vibrant opaque finish - perfect for glossy evening glamour!

It doesn't give a "wet look" shine like some glosses do, which is a bonus for me, as I find "wet look" glosses quite unattractive. Instead, it has a silky, sultry finish, which looks very sophisticated. The shine doesn't fade, so there's no need for constant re-application. The colour is build-able, too. One coat gives the lips a bright "flush" of colour (image - above-right), but I like to wear two coats for a vibrant opaque finish (image - right) - perfect for glossy evening glamour!

It's ultra-hydrating formula makes it ideal for all year round - it prevents your lips from drying out in hot weather, and protects your lips from the harsh winter breeze (the time when my lips usually suffer from dryness). As previously mentioned, the hydration lasts for hours, so your lips look and feel soft, healthy and kissable all day. It also has a delicious tropical scent! The formula is non-sticky and lightweight, so it doesn't feel heavy, unpleasant, or uncomfortable.

Application is simple and mess-free with the "tear drop" shaped wand which comes to a point so you can get an even result on your cupid's bow and lip corners as well as the larger areas of the lips, allowing the perfect application. The applicator holds just the right amount of product, and it's angled to make applying it easier still.

I honestly can't fault this product. There are definitely more shades on my wish-list - I have to have "Endless Ruby"! Nice one, Maybelline!

"Fashion Fix for your Fingertips." - Maybelline New York

After hearing all the hype for aaages about the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes, I've finally decided to buy some. I bought three shades from Boots - there's currently a "3 for 2" deal on selected Maybelline products. ;)
I'm not exactly sure how many shades there are in the Color Show range... It says on the Maybelline "Colorwheel" that there are 40 available, however I can't find two of my shades on there (265 and 341)... Still, there are plenty to choose from, so there's something for every girl out there!
I opted for a sassy red-ish shade called "265 Wine Shimmer", and two summer-brights called "341 Orange Attack" and "186 Fuchsia Fever".

265 Wine Shimmer: This was the colour I was instantly drawn to. Classic with a twist, it's right up my street. ;) It's a timeless "red wine" shade, packed with glitzy iridescent sparkles - very glamorous! I want to see this shade on every lady's fingers and toes this Autumn/Winter. It has a thin consistency which gives a translucent finish, so you'll need at least 3 coats for a totally opaque look. However, just one coat gives your nails a subtle yet very pretty colour, which could be worn all year round!

341 Orange Attack: An orange polish is a great way to get your nails summer-ready. I think this particular shade is bang-on for the summer - it went straight on my toes for a sunshine-perfect pedicure! It's a bright, block-colour orange i.e. it's just one colour, non-metallic, free from sparkles, etc etc. The coverage is fabulous. It's so good, in fact, that you could get away with wearing just one coat! (But I'm a bit OCD, so I have to wear at least two...) It also has a wicked, sunshine-reflecting, high-shine finish.
If you want a similar shades that's a little more glittery, then click here to check out the photos in one of my previous reviews - it contains my thoughts on Avon's "Apple of his Eye"; a sparkly summer shade of orange. :)

186 Fuchsia Fever: This one is from the "Neons" collections of Color Show polishes - a range of shades that are perfect for a striking summer manicure. I was tied on which one to get, so my partner chose this vibrant purple for me as it's his favorite colour. :)
The first thing I noticed was how amazingly quickly it dried! It took well under a minute, for sure. ;) When it dries it has a matte finish, which I personally dislike. I've never found matte nails very feminine. But don't despair, a glossy top coat cures this in a flash! I was also hacked off with how many coats you need to achieve an opaque finish. The this consistency requires 3 to 4 coats to give an opaque result, and, unlike the two shades mentioned above, you can't pull it off with just one coat. You'll have to set some time aside if you want a magnificent manicure with this stuff!

As for the wear, I got about 5 days out of this stuff before noticing any chips, peeling or fading etc etc. Bare in mind that any polish's staying-power will be effected by the condition of your nails - mine used to break and peel horrendously when I had thin tips! Click here to check out the Avon Nail Experts Gel Strength Base Coat to strengthen your nails and prolong your colour - honestly, that stuff is my manicure miracle!

I'm definitely up for purchasing some more of the Color Show shades. With all the colours available I'm spoiled for choice!
