Orchard View Naturals is a small independent business based in Shepton Beauchamp, Somerset, and ran by Lucy Stevens MFHT (Member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists).

Today I'd like to share my thought on their Capsule Collection, a bundle of five facial oils to help improve an array of skin types and problems. Maybe people have given fabulous feedback and excellent reviews, and I am no exception!! Of course, each of them smell simply divine and leave the skin feeling supple and soft-as-a-feather. A little of these potent oils will go a long way, so you can be sure that this collection will last you a good while.

Please note that a Patch Test is suggested 24 hours before use (just as you'd test a hair colourant), especially if you have sensitive skin.

My delivery arrived safely packaged and beautifully wrapped (it was so pretty that I photographed it after every stage of unwrapping!!). In the pack are five vials of essential facial oils; Rose Geranium, Orange Blossom, Triple Rose, Tea Tree, and Infused Marigold. Also included are various leaflets and information containing everything that one could possibly need to know about the oils, the business, and directions for use.

Sixteen skin types are listed in a helpful guidance leaflet, all of which can be helped by one or more of these five essential oils. Well-known skin types such as dry, sensitive, combination, and normal skin can all benefit from them, but they can also improve problems such as dullness, acne, large pores, and sun damage. "Listen to your skin" and use the simple guide to help use the correct oils when required.

My first choice was the Rose Geranium Facial Oil, as it's recommended for use on combination skin, like mine. I instantly fell in love with the pungent exotic aroma, it's so refreshing and uplifting. After use, my skin felt softer and smoother. Shine was instantly banished and replaced with a healthy luminous glow.

Another personal favorite is the zingy, invigorating scent of the Orange Blossom Facial Oil. It helps to boost the skin's moisture levels, as well as having the ability to improve the condition of aging skin, large pores, and sun damage, and it's fragrance is bound to lighten your mood on even the dullest of days.
The freshly-fragranced Triple Rose Facial Oil is recommended for use on dry, dehydrated, and dull skin to provide intense hydration. It leaves the skin feeling deeply nourished and looking healthier.
Tea Tree oil is renowned for it's impressive array of benefits to the skin, and OV Naturals suggest it for use on ten of the sixteen listed skin types. It seems to be something of a miracle-product.
The Infused Marigold Oil can also be used to treat a range of dilemmas. It too is recommended for use on ten of the sixteen listed skin types, including sensitive skin, which can be hard to treat correctly.
Please remember that a Patch Test is recommended 24 hours before use when using products on sensitive skin.

Not only do OV Naturals care for the body and soul, but they are also passionate about protecting our planet. All of the products are 100% natural and 99.5% organic, and everything is cruelty-free. I thought I'd do a review of my "everyday" foundation and concealer. I have lots of both types of these cosmetics, but Barbara Daly's are my most used and I wear them pretty much every day.

First off, my foundation. I use Barbara Daly Moisture Foundation in "Ivory".
It's always done me proud and I've bought it several times. It lasts ages, too - I've been on my current bottle for about 5 months and, although I wear it everyday, there is still loads left and it hasn't started to dry out or separate or any of that horrible stuff that some foundations start to do after you've had them "too long".
As the name suggests, it's moisturising. I actually rarely get dry skin, but it's great for keeping my skin hydrated in England's cold winter air.
It has a great consistency, too. It's quite thin and gives light-medium coverage, which I love as I like some of my freckles to show through, but it's also build-able and blend-able. It doesn't feel at all heavy on your skin, and it has great staying-power. It's also gives a matte finish, which is great if you have combination skin (like me!). The moisuriser absorbs quickly so you don't have to wait before you can continue applying your makeup, unlike some moisturisers and tinted foundations I've tried.
You apply it with a little sort-of spatula which is attached to the lid. You could then use a foundation brush or sponge, but I find it best just to work it in with your fingers.
Barbara Daly Moisture Foundation is available for £8.00 from Tesco stores and online.

Next, my Barbara Daly Concealer in "Fair".
I much prefer my concealers in pots than one's that you apply with a wand or a stick, so this one is a winner for me. I apply it straight with my fingers rather than using a brush as it's just easier to apply and blend. Again, it lasts ages - I bought this 5 months ago with my foundation and, although I use it daily, I still have over half left. It hasn't gone dry or horrible in any way, but make sure you apply it with clean fingers so you don't get anything unwanted in it.
It's seems ever-so slightly on the oily side, but it doesn't look or feel oily at all on the skin. The coverage is beyond perfect, it's super easy to blend, and gives a 100% matte finish. I use it under my eyes and on my lids - it has excellent staying-power and doesn't crease, and also helps my makeup to stay put for longer.
Barbara Daly Concealer is available for £5.00 from Tesco stores and online.

I always finish set my foundation and concealer with a powder, mainly to help control shine due to my slightly oily skin. My favorite product for this is Avon Colour Trend Oil Control Pressed Powder in "Translucent". It keeps shine at bay and, when used with my foundation and concealer, it gives my skin a totally flawless finish. I keep one in my makeup bag, one in my car and one in my handbag at all times so I can top it up when I need to.
Avon Colour Trend Oil Control Pressed Powder is available from your Avon representative or online. Prices vary.

...And here is an image of what the three products look like together! They're my perfect everyday combination.

Now, obviously I don't go out just looking like this, so I've uploaded a photo of today's finished makeup and my chosen products below...
