   In 2012, Jessi Frey founded Peppy Galore in Bristol, England. Jessi successfully made her own skincare to use for herself instead of commercial shop-bought products, and now her fun and effective range is available to us all! All Peppy Galore products are made with natural ingredients, suitable for vegans, free from nasty ingredients such as parabens and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate - click for more information). Peppy Galore never test on animals. It’s clear that Peppy Galore is a caring company when it comes to the environment as well as our skin. Not only is the packaging used fully recyclable, but their products are made using only 100% renewable gas and electricity.
   Peppy Galore sell a great range of deliciously scented and prettily packaged body mousses, skin cleansers, hand care products, moisturisers, skin healing products, toners, tools and gifts sets, and all skin types are catered for.   I had the honour of experiencing some of Peppy Galore’s glorious delights; the Nurse Peppy Healing Hand Cream, and the Nurse Peppy Healing Balm. These are two great all-rounders for everyone to have on hand for when the skin needs a little extra TLC.
   First up is the Nurse Peppy Healing Hand Cream. It’s designed to help care for the hands when they’re a feeling dry and damaged, and it’s great for moisturising and nourishing the nails, too. This award-winning versatile balm is perfect for providing instant intense nourishment and care when and where it’s needed most. Personally, I use it on my lips first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and throughout the day when required to prevent dryness and keep them soft and smooth. Personally, I noticed a huge difference in the dreaded shaving rash – I always get irritated red skin after shaving with foams and gels, but with Bulrush & Bramble’s shaving bar I noticed no rash at all! So, if you suffer from shaving rash or have easily-irritated skin, this all-natural product is well worth a try. It’s available for both men and women.
   Moisturising the skin regularly not only improves and prevents dryness, but, in the long run, it can also help to improve the appearance of skin imperfections such as stretch marks and signs of ageing. Milla Maddern sources their goats’ milk from a local farm (and all of their ingredients are sourced from within the UK). love it’s rich, creamy texture. It’s so thick and luxurious, yet it absorbs so quickly! It contains caring Vitamin E and healing Manuka Honey. After use, my skin feels moisturised and smells fantastic for hours.
   Our hands undergo a lot of hard work on a daily basis, yet it’s so easy to neglect them. It’s very important to care for them properly to keep them squeaky-clean and in tip-top condition. Liquid soaps are great for keeping the hands thoroughly cleansed. Milla Maddern Liquid Hand Wash contains antibacterial Manuka Honey and moisturising Aloe Vera.    It’s great to think natural when it comes to skincare. Many commercial products contain a vast array of potentially harmful chemicals that could actually damage the skin rather than improve it. You need to know your ingredients. Most of us slap this stuff on our skin without even glancing at the seemingly infinite list of ingredients. And do we even know what half of these scientific-sounding substances do? Personally, I can’t even pronounce most of them, and just trying to read the endless list of components these drugstore formulas contain brings on a headache. So, it seems a safe and easy way to avoid the risky side-effects of these chemical compounds is to go natural – it seems that “less is more” when it comes to organic skincare.

So forget those commercial chemical-packed catastrophes - organic and natural is the way to go!
   I’m particularly fond of the Enchanted Plants organic handmade soap bars. I love their rustic appearance – no two bars are the same, and they have a certain charm about them which you just don’t get with a mass-produced product. I use the English Chamomile, Lavender, Dorset Honey and Oat Organic Soap. It’s fantastically fragrant. The first scent I detected was the honey – it’s unmistakable aroma smells good enough to eat! If you find your skin plays up to fragranced products then gives this one a whirl. Her products are handmade with love, care, and all-natural ingredients. From new-borns to adults, there’s something for everyone!
