Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Quick Touch Leave-In Conditioner - hair care review #1 + photos

Source: http://avonshop.co.uk/
This is my first hair care review. I don't have a huge interest in hair products, as I don't do a lot with my hair - I just ensure it's kept in good condition and that it looks presentable. I used to have an undercut on one side, which, in the photos, I was slowly growing out (I got fed up of growing it in the end and now I have most of it shaved).

I wanted to review this stuff before I had my mop chopped - as you can see from the photos, it was getting out of control ("overgrown" would be an understatement). I only had a sample to test it with, so this review is based on a one-off use, but it's already got me converted...

The product I'm reviewing is called Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Quick Touch Leave-In Conditioner - try saying that in a hurry. As you can see from the name, it's a leave-in conditioner from the Advance Techniques Daily Shine range. It's great for adding noticeable shine to your hair if you're on a tight schedule as you don't need to rinse it out after use. Another excellent product for this is Schwarzkopf Gliss Liquid Silk Gloss Express Repair Conditioner (click the link to open the product page on the Superdrug website).

The Daily Shine range is suitable for all hair types. My hair is thick, voluminous and healthy, but it can become a little dull as I have had it bleached for the past 2 years (luckily I'm a natural red head, but a sucker for blonde locks).

There is only one down side to this product, so let's get it out of the way.
The directions for use are simple: "Work a small amount through hair after shampooing and towel-drying."
Avon have given this product fairly vague instructions. For example, how much is "a small amount"? How regularly is use recommended? Can you use it if you've used normal rinse-out conditioner, too? Can you blow dry it after use? (Some leave-in products leave my hair looking very dull if I blow dry it). Maybe they give more details instructions with the full-size product. Anyway, let's move on to the images and results...

Second image; when left to dry naturally, my hair had developed a silky shine. My locks are healthy and voluminous. Beauty!

I was a little sceptical about this product as some leave-in conditioners and hair masks leave my hair feeling heavy and dull, however, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Here are the fantastic results that I noticed:

- When my hair had dried naturally I did notice a glorious silky shine. It looked natural, yet noticeable.
- I love how leave-in products leave my hair perfectly manageable, and this product is no exception - I'm loving my tangle-free locks!
- It gave my hair more life and "bounce".
- Initially it gave that unpleasant feeling as though you've just left you're normal rinse-out conditioner in, however as my hair it dried this feeling disappeared and left my hair feather soft to the touch!
Lovely! I'm not sure if the result would be different for blow-dried hair, I always let mine dry naturally.

The "try before you buy" trick has defiantly worked for me. It gives my hair a beautiful silky shine and soft-as-a-feather texture. Plus, at just £2.80 for a 250ml bottle, it's dirt cheap. Who could say no?

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Quick Touch Leave-In Conditioner is available for £2.80 from the Avon website or from your Avon representative. Click here to buy online.
